This festival is an art event for independent film and video artists where films are broadcast online on the website www.streamingfestival.com and showed offline on location in The Hague, The Netherlands.This year’s novelty is that the première of the upcoming edition will consist of a film competition. A prize will be awarded to the most prominent artist with visual, conceptual and artistic excellence.Participation in the competition is completely optional. Artists can also decide to only show their works in the regular program.
Last year, we also organized a student streaming edition. As we were really satisfied with the outcome, we decided to do it again this year. This time, it will be fully implemented and run parallel to the Streaming Festival’s regular program.
The student program is a platform for college level art students to exhibit, prepare, express and receive feedback for their works which explore the medium of video and experimental film.
Art teachers from several academies are invited to participate in the review committee to reflect on the work of the students.
We are now accepting submissions for the regular program, competition and student edition. Deadline for submissions: 25 October 2010. All genres accepted. No length limit. No entry fee.
