The Streaming Festival

The Streaming Festival is an international audio visual art and film event. This event takes place on the internet, where films are broadcasted full screen on streaming servers. The Streaming Festival takes place once a year. The Streaming Festival selects quality films and combines those with high quality streaming technologies. The film selection is thorough and the criteria are above average with the limited amount of screening time. With one edition per year the festival can select from numerous submissions and achieve that high standard.

New technologies and possibilities make each Streaming Festival edition different from the previous one. To control these differences in separate editions allows the festival to expand and adjust precisely and efficiently.

The goal is to stimulate and broaden the understanding of audio visual art. The editions being separated from each other, the films, partners and artists become art archives related to their edition date. This makes it possible to compare differences and follow developments after every edition.

Anyone with an internet connection can plug into a festival stream from any location, at any given time and start watching contemporary art and films. Because films are presented online, viewers can switch back and forth easily between the programs.
