" The jury was impressed by the observational skills of the director. The opening images of hanging laundry from similar windows had us hooked immediately and made us curious. The film contains striking and sometimes surprising images, from the train in the second scene to the glass floor in the second half. The director has a strong sense of composition and his use of the film frame is at times very playful. This film is a reminder to us all to look better at the world around us. To find the extraordinary in the ordinary. "
In no particular order, the other shortlisted artists
Ashleigh Nankivell - Helping Johnny Remember
Matt Frodsham and Mat Lloyd - 2 Inches to the Right
Dalibor Baric - The mind from nowhere
Sean Dunne - The Archive
